Meet Ashton..

A smiling young man sitting outdoors on a cushioned chair, wearing a checkered shirt and a wristwatch, with greenery and white flowers in the background.

I’ll start off by saying, I didn’t get here by doing things right.

I’m a recovered addict, and for a long time my addiction ran my life. I lost my home, my sense of direction, and at times even the basic security of knowing where my next meal would come from. Survival became the only goal.

Recovery didn’t come easy or fast. It took nine years of falling down and getting back up. When I had exhausted every other option, I found my faith in God. That faith didn’t magically fix everything, but it gave me purpose, accountability, and a responsibility to do better with the life I was given.

That responsibility led me back home to North Georgia, into a new career and into deeper service within my community. Most personally, it inspired the creation of the Breaking Bread Foundation, where we sell simple baked goods to help provide resources for those who are hungry, homeless, and/or battling addiction.

This isn’t charity from a distance. It’s personal. I meet people where they are because I’ve been there too, and today my life, my business, and my service- are all centered around helping others find stability, hope, and a place to call home.
